Dont pretend. Truthful interaction is about being able to spill everything out and what should work out will work out and what shouldn't will not - given that you give working out a try. Don't fight it by pretending to be someone you don't want to be, otherwise in the end things could end much worse than how it needs to be. I'm just saying.
And I'm sure if you look carefully, there is always someone out there you can 'interact' well with.
People always assume the simplest meanings in other people's statements, regardless of the context in which they see the statement. That would be fine if the simple meaning being interpreted is objective. However, that is often not the case. What is to say that pretending is bad? What is to say that being truthful has not its faults? It is unwise to assume that others do not see the simple solutions. Yet people constantly provide advice pretentiously. One must consider the possibility that all the logical solutions have been presented, but even so, an individual may still not be able to make a decision. After all, we are human, and thus bound by human emotions. I guess the important thing is, what are the consequences of you pretending, or not? Have you already made a decision despite what other’s opinions may be? What is wrong with what you are doing now and is there anything that actually warrants a change in your behaviour? At the end of the day, people make their own decisions. Think about it.
